TRANSLATIONS

We offer Standard, Expedite and Express Delivery options for the following type of translations of standard documents and specialized texts: Written translations can be divided into plain, official and legalized.

Standard translation – a translation delivered to the client in electronic format or printed on plain paper without signature of the translator or company stamp.

Official translation – this is a translation, signed by the translator, sworn by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, bearing criminal responsibility for the truthfulness of the translation, printed on company letterhead, and stamped by the company or by the translator

Legalized translation– an official translation authenticated by office of “Legalizations and authentications” at the Consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Authorized (Sworn) translator – an individual, having the educational background and the necessary linguistic skills, having signed a notarized declaration stating that he/she is bearing criminal responsibility for the truthfulness of the translations and is registered in the office “Legalizations and authentications” at the Consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as translator, authorized to make official translations.

INTERPRETATIONS

TIM 93 offers professional interpretation services for events with international participation: business meetings, training and seminars, study tours and other functions, in the official EU languages as well as other languages.

The interpretation can be consecutive or simultaneous.

Consecutive interpretation– the person speaking makes pauses, while the interpreter translates in another language. Usually used for meetings, negotiations, certain brief presentations and seminars, press conferences, phone calls, etc.

Simultaneous interpretation– the person speaking does not wait for the interpreter, who translates in real time as the person speaks. Usually used in case of presentations, seminars, lectures, press conferences, TV and radio reality shows etc.

COPY EDITING

Upon Client’s request the translation could be edited by an expert. The review includes check of the terminology and the stated facts compared to the original text, correcting any typing or grammar mistakes. In this case an editing fee is added to the translation price. This offer could be extended to the editing of Client’s texts, which are not translations or have been translated by third parties.

LEGALIZATIONS

In the case of legalization of documents, the originals need to be submitted to the office. The process of the legalization is based on the working hours and timeframes of the authenticating authorities. The prices will include all state fees and taxes of the authenticating authorities.

Documents issued by foreign authorities
In order for documents issued by a foreign authority to be valid, they have to be legalized by the Consular Department. In such cases the signature of the translator has to be notarized.
An exception is made for the documents, issued on multilingual forms; these documents need to be translated as well, and the translations have to be stamped and authenticated accordingly.

Documents issued in Bulgaria
Documents issued in Bulgaria need to be translated and legalized by obtaining all the required stamps and authentications in order to be valid abroad.

The legalization process of the translated document includes the following steps:

  • the original document is authenticated in the competent ministry, according to the requirements of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
  • the original and authenticated document is translated by a sworn translator;
  • the original document is attached to the official translation of the document and is legalized in the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Apostille
The apostille is an authentication of the competency of the individual that has signed a certain document and not the truthfulness/contents of the document. The apostille is attached by different institutions – Consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice or the Ministry of Education and Science – depending on the type of the document to be authenticated.
